Tip Cork

The most common cork is a tip cork, available in many sizes from 9mm to 42mm and fits most bottles. Tip corks are shaped like a wedge, meaning they are narrower at one end, which means one size fits multiple sizes of bottles. Made of real cork, usually in one piece, but there is also "pressed cork" which are small cork grains that are pressed with glue. Picture to the right is a pressed cork.
