Course on how to bridle a bottle in the Medieval Week V32 2025
Want to learn how to wrap bottles with rope?
(Note that the course is given in Swedish, see below)
As before, I will give a short practical half-day course in how it is done. There will be short briefings and a lot of own work.
The purpose of the course is to learn the different stages so you make a small bottle (33cl) with a rather sparse straining so you have time to try all the different stages. You will end up with a bottle similar to the one on the right. After the course, you will have the skills to make more advanced designs, see examples under the "Bottles" tab here on the website.
In addition to the knots of the bridle itself, one must learn how to start, splice ropes and finish and possibly make a simple strap. All of these can be done in different ways and we will look at a few of each.
After the course, you can buy sea sack needle, awl, rope etc. at a discounted price if you want to continue bridging yourself.

Kursdata - Tid, pris, anmälan och betalning: (gäller 2025)
Kursstart Måndag, Onsdag och Fredag kl 13.
Kursen håller på 3-4 timmar, tills man är klar. De allra flesta brukar hinna klart med sin flaska på den tiden.
Kurspris 790:- och då ingår allt material man behöver (flaska och rep) och verktyg får man låna.
Observera att man också behöver ett medeltidspass för att komma in på marknaden.

Återbetalning vid förhinder: Får du förhinder så återbetalar jag hela avgiften om du meddelar mig senast en vecka innan medeltidsveckan startar dvs senast söndagen innan. Efter det så återbetalar jag avgiften minus 100:- OM jag lyckas besätta platsen med någon annan. (Det har hittills alltid gått bra men jag kan inget lova)
